While the wii may lack the graphic quality of some of the other consoles, its ease of play and fun factor puts it right up there with the rest. One of the latest games to be released for this console is Monster Hunt tri. This is a role playing game where you hunt down monsters with mystical qualities. There is a huge amount of self satisfaction at tracking down and slaying one of the biggest monsters. The online play is brilliant and the visuals are quite beautiful.

A long time hero for all Nintendo aficionados is Mario. This little plumber has been with us for many years now, but his popularity shows no sign of diminishing, especially with the amount of starring roles he has in games for the wii. New super Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy are 3 big sellers for this console. The game that introduced us to these lovable characters, Super Mario Bros, is available now on download so you can enjoy some great game playing with a touch of nostalgia.

One of the biggest gaming phenomenon`s in recent years has been the call of duty series, or cod as it is widely known. These first-person shooter games have created massive sales around the world, and the version for the wii is right up there with the rest. Cod 4; modern warfare; reflex edition is enjoying great success, and rightly so. There are surprises at every turn, and the online gaming is both addictive and engaging.

A great game for all the family is Lego star wars. This is a mish mash of all 6 star wars movies played out through Lego men. Yes, that`s right; those little play people with the removable head and limbs that were part of all our childhoods. This is fun, engaging, and popular with all ages. Kids love seeing their inanimate play things brought to life and adults find it extremely addictive.

When the wii first launched, it came with a few games to whet your appetite. Two of these have gone on to become wii classics. I refer, of course, to wii sports and Zelda. Nintendo were praised for getting kids off their butts so they got exercise while gaming. Wii Sports was a pioneer, and is one of the most successful games ever released. Whether you want to play tennis, or baseball, or go bowling, the whole family can play together and have a lot of laughs. Zelda transported us to a world where mystery and fantasy became one. There have been several sequels, but many rate the original as the best.

All your favourite past and present Nintendo characters come together to do battle in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Pick a character and fight all the rest for supremacy, great fun for all ages and excellent multi play. Last on our list is the football game FIFA 2010 World Cup – South Africa. Pick a team and take to the pitch for enthralling matches as you strive to lift the prized trophy.

Whether your favorite game is on this list or not, these are well worth having in your game selection and a guarantee you will never hear the dreaded words `I`m bored` from your offspring!
